Ministro Pistarini International Airport, more commonly known as Ezeiza International Airport owing to its location within the Ezeiza Partido in the Greater Buenos Aires, is an international airport located 22 kilometers (14 mi) south-southwest of Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina. It is the country's largest international airport by number of passengers handled — 85% of international traffic—and serves as a hub for the international services of Aerolíneas Argentinas and LAN Argentina. Covering an area of 3,475 hectares, the airport serves both the city of Buenos Aires and its metropolitan area. It is operated by Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 S.A. since 1998.
